Travel formalities

When checking in, each passenger must be able to submit a valid official proof of identity with a photograph (passport or official national identity card, valid 3 months after returnflight), corresponding to the name mentioned in the booking file.
Each passenger must also be able to prove that he/she has accomplished the formalities for travel that are prescribed in his/her country of origin and that are prescribed by the immigration authorities and other public authorities of the country of destination.
All costs resulting from non-compliance with the regulations are to be paid by the traveller.

Below, you will find information about the formalities to be accomplished in order to travel abroad.
 

Documents required for clients who are Belgian nationals (subject to changes) for flights to :

 

 

• Greece, France, Italy : Valid national ID card.

• Spain, Portugal,Cyprus and Malta : valid identity card for stays longer than 90 days a visa is required

• Turkey : valid identity card and visa(valid for maximum 90 days), which can be obtained upon arrival before passport control (15 euro) or beforehand at the Turkish Embassy in Brussels (+/-35 euro).

• Dominican Republic : valid identity card (valid 3 months after returnflight) + tourist card available upon arrival, of 10 USD + 10 USD for the return flight (airport tax). Both are included in the Jetairfly price. Upon arrival in the Dominican republic clients must always present a return ticket, with the exception of holders of re-entry permit.

Naturalized Belgians : international passport required (Belgian or of country of origin)

For stays longer than 30 days a visa is required (or prolongation of the tourist card for a maximum of 90 days at the 'Emigration dept.' in Dom. Rep. at an additional cost) and, in Puerto Plata, an extra airport tax needs to be paid at the immigration services (+/- 18€ > 30 days, 22€ > 3 months).

• Tunisia and Morocco : international passport valid until 6 months after return. for stays longer than 90 days a visa is required

• Bulgaria : Valid national ID card. For stays longer than 90 days a visa is required

• Croatia : valid identity card (valid 3 months after returnflight). Upon arrival you receive a visa free of charge. If you want to visit Bosnia (e.g; Mostar & Medugorje), then an international passport valid until 6 months after return is required. for stays longer than 90 days a visa is required

 

 • Costa Rica : international passport . Visitor must hold ticket and all documents required for return journey. For stays longer than 90 days a visa is required.

To enter Costa Rica with an international passport, you need to supply the Jetairfly.com call center with some extra information. After reservation you will receive an email from our call center, asking you to provide us with following data : full (official) name, birth date, nationality, international passport number and expiry date of the international passport.

• Cuba : international passport + a tourist card (approximately 17,36 euro, included in the Jetairfly price). for stays longer than 30 days a visa is required. Visitor must hold ticket and all documents required for return journey. In general, it is strongly recommended to hold hotel voucher or booking for a min. stay of 2 days.

• Mexico : international passport valid until 6 months after return + a tourist card available upon arrival (free of charge). for stays longer than 180 days a visa is required. Visitor must hold ticket and all documents required for return journey.

•Jamaica : Jamaica : international passport valid until 6 months after return. For touristic stays longer than 90 days a visa is required. For a businesstrip longer than 30 days a visa is required. Visitor must hold ticket and all documents required for return journey.

• Egypt : Stays less than 1 month: for Belgians, an identity card (valid 3 months after return flight) is sufficient. A visa is also obligatory. Upon arrival an amount of  €18 has to be paid to the Jetairfly local agent for the visa (or 15 USD if you buy it at the counter at the airport). Bring 1 passport photograph!. Stays longer than 1 month are possible : an international passport (valid 6 months after return flight) is required, next to a visa. Upon arrival an amount of €18 has to be paid to the Jetairfly local agent for the visa (or 15 USD if you buy it at the counter at the airport). • Jordan : Belgian identity card (*) is sufficient to enter Jordan in following cases :

* Arrival at Aqaba Airport with returnflight from Aqaba Airport

* Prebooked roundtrips with excursions within Jordanian territory

•Israel : international passport valid until 6 months after return. (no stamp of Syria or Lebanon) For stays longer than 90 days a visa is required Visitor must hold ticket and all documents required for return journey.

Contact the Embassy or Consulate of  destination
• For destination Liberia (Costa Rica) Jetairfly only has a licence for tourist traffic. Sales to non-EU citizens without a valid hotel voucher for the full stay is NOT ALLOWED. Each violation of this rule is considered as non-touristic traffic by the local authorities and can result in a fine for both the client and the airline company.
• For certain nationalities a return ticket is obligatory next to a visa. You are advised to get in touch with the relevant authorities (embassy or consulate) about the formalities to accomplish.
